More Rain Adds To Planting Delays
Tight old-crop supplies of soybeans pushed July futures prices higher
Monday. Corn and wheat were steady to lower for most of the day, but July wheat
was higher by the close. Forecasts are for moderate to heavy rains early this
week that will add to planting delays in the north-central U.S. for corn and
spring wheat. Monday afternoon's Crop Progress report is likely to show
declining winter wheat crop conditions and significant ongoing planting delays
for corn and spring wheat in the northern states.
