Agronomy Applicator & Maintenance Technician

Ottawa, IL

The Agronomy Operations position is responsible for plant maintenance for Northern Partners Cooperative and any operational type procedures. They will perform essential maintenance functions to uphold Northern Partners Cooperative’s equipment at locations as well as offer outstanding customer service that will optimize the cooperative’s market share and savings, improve the cooperative’s efficiency, and help achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals. Additional responsibilities would include custom application to include (Custom Applications of Chemicals and Liquid Fertilizer, Dry Fertilizer and or Custom Application of Anhydrous Ammonia). Implements, promotes, and supports the agronomy program of the local branch by precisely blending and custom-applying fertilizers and crop protection products based on knowledge, maps, recommendations, and label directions. Also performs functions that may include maintenance of equipment, plant, rolling stock, operation of forklifts, loaders, operating tender trucks, filling and delivering NH3 tanks, loading customers’ vehicles with product, unloading of deliveries and other duties as required. Required licensing also needed to operate equipment (applicator equipment and machinery, shop tools, forklifts, class A and B trucks).

Energy Delivery Specialist

Mendota, IL

Deliver energy products to customers in a timely, accurate and professional manner. Maintain a positive and respectful attitude that reflects on Northern Partners Cooperative. Build relationships that earn trust with farmers that lead to long term loyalty to Northern Partners Cooperative. Collaborate with management to resolve any customer complaints in a timely manner. Identify new business opportunities and establish yearly sales and gross margin goals as well as the implementation of marketing plan. Maintains a safe working environment and promotes safety amongst customers and employees. Develop and maintain an organized and efficient loading and unloading system.  Develop and maintain an efficient routing system.  Perform installation duties for bulk storage tanks.  Attend product updates and service training sessions as suggested by Director of Energy. Accurate record keeping of all sales, purchasing, and energy transactions. Provide Director of Energy with periodic reports on current competitors’ strategies. Follow all proper procedures as instructed by management.

Grain Clerical Administrator

Mendota, IL

The Grain Clerical Administrator will keep a complete, accurate, and systematic set of records for all grain transactions carried out by the cooperative in a manner that will optimize the cooperative’s market share and savings, improve the cooperative’s efficiency, help achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service. Record keeping of all sales, purchasing, and grain transactions. Prepare all daily, monthly, quarterly, and year end reports for the grain department as required, including monthly insurance report and monthly freight expense. Acts as a liaison between corporate and branch grain departments. Assists Corporate Financial Officer and branch personnel as necessary.  Answers all incoming calls in a timely and professional manner. Greets customers in a friendly and courteous manner. Maintains a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the cooperative and a favorable image of the cooperative. Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. Enters all grain vouchers for payment. Assists with distribution of checks as required, Northern Partners Cooperative’s budget, and patronage.

The Grain Location Manager will direct, promote, and coordinate the Grain Operations staff in a manner that will optimize the cooperative’s market share and savings, improve the cooperative’s efficiency, help achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service. Ensures the Grain division has complete, accurate, and systematic set of records for all transactions carried out by the cooperative. Oversee all daily activities of their designated grain facility, both seasonal and year-round. Responsible for daily processes, anticipating and problem solving and ensuring operations run smoothly. Grain Transportation Specialist

Mendota, IL

The Grain Transportation Specialist will transport a variety of grain types, as well as agronomy-related products such as fertilizer, from NPC elevators or river terminal to various locations in a manner that will optimize the cooperative’s market share and savings, improve the cooperative’s efficiency, help achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service. Must have clean CDL to haul grain year-round and some fertilizer in season, drivers are home every night. Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. May be required to unload truck. Requires commercial drivers’ license. Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs. Provides professional customer service that results in a pleasant experience for customers.
